Ceramics, which are formed by kneading clay with water and gaining durability through firing at a specific temperature, have been used as the primary material by humankind since prehistoric times.. From the times when primitive samples were formed to the present day, the progress of the production and firing technology of ceramics has become an indicator of the development of civilizations. Anatolia is home to the rich heritage of ceramics left behind by Anatolian civilizations. The primary goal of the 1st International Ardahan Anatolian Ceramics Symposium is to present new research and practices concerning ceramics that were produced in ancient times, as well as those that are currently being created in Anatolia and its surrounding regions. The symposium aims to facilitate an environment where researchers and artists can come together to share their knowledge and experiences.
